Both countries are doing extremely well. Average incomes are growing at nearly double-digit rates. Both countries will nearly eliminate absolute poverty in just a few years.
However, it is interesting that they are taking two very different paths to development. China has a very government-controlled approach. Most property is owned and controlled by the state, which India allows more extensive property rights.
It will be VERY interesting to see if both or either of these countries can keep up the current pace without getting into trouble -- demand for property rights and human rights in China, and demands for more income equality in either country.

As far as analyzing these at the moment we have to conclude that China is at a better level and pace on both fronts: Economy and Technology. The future may differ. But on the basis if the present methods followed in India, we cannot tell if we could overtake China?

As far as economy is concerned China,Russia,India are Brazil are supposed to dominate the world economy by 2020 observing their growth.
While Japan is the leader in the Technological area.
