I'm ttc and i have epilepsy. right now I'm taking tegretol, my neurologist sed this was the best med for pregnancy but he is kind of antique, is there any other options? should I take meds at all? Is sleeping well and lots of follic acid help?

Seizures during pregnancy are far more dangerous than the tegretol. Don't go off the meds without talking to your doctor. If you can't get in to see your neurologist see your OB or primary doctor but you should talk to someone about your concerns before making any changes in your meds. They might have other options but my guess is if your seizures are under control right now do not change meds while you're pregnant. Call your doc tomorrow.
