In a Gilligan's Island skit, based on the classic television show, I was asked to play the role of the professor. I have only seen the show a minimal amount of times, so I am completely in the dark about this character. I need you to tell me the demeanor of the character, so I can portray the character in a correct way. Also, suggest the appropriate clothing for the professor, based on the television show. I thank everyone in advance.

The professor a very smart man, about his early 40's, tall, wearing checked shirt, half sleeves I believe with white pants.
Always was fixing his radio and inventing things to use or get them off the island. He played a highly needed role in the movie. His character, was always having to be more of a counsellor to the cast aways. So he was looked up to and respected. More seen to be serious very seldom laughing but good natured.

Though Russell Johnson was in his early 40s, the Professor, Roy Hinkley Jr., was 35. He wore a powdered baby blue shirt (having never lost a button), khaki pants, dark blue canvas shoes, similar to the Skipper's. He was constantly inventing gagets on the island they were marooned on for "15 years" and was, pretty much of the time, accompanied with the Packbell AM radio with the dresser drawer handle attached to it for easier carrying and FM attenae. He was the brains behind most of the situations they've engaged in. He showed absolutely no interest in either Ginger or Mary Ann. According to Russ, the Professor was A-sexual. The man was very studious (both actor and character) and learned words and scientific terms that appeared impossible to understand.

The nutty professor is the exact character, but that is likely before your time. The Professor usually wears white or tan khaki pants with a plaid but up shirt with his long sleeves unbuttoned and rolled up one time. His shoes are white canvas loafers. His demeanor is of a very smart but still kooky person. He finds intrigue in his inventions, like he was a seven year old boy getting his first puppy. Some say he was gay, but that is another subject.

This was one of my favorite shows growing up.

He acts very "professor-like", serious, but gentle in nature, very knowledgeable (using big words scientifically).

He gets along with the others fine, no drama. He is the problem solver.

He wears white pants and white shirt at all times.

Have fun and great luck!!

Khakis, white button down shirt. he was always coming up with inventions to make their lives better on the island, most famously the radio made our of coconuts. But he could never build a boat for some reason. I guess because they'd have to cancel the show. He was always a voice of reason, and he totally got it on with MaryAnne.
