You're still in love with him, right? Or at least still needing to be hooked in to him! Perhaps you need to remind yourself about why you left him in the first place. Chances are it was because he couldn't take care of him emotional baggage effectively and you got tired of his childish behaviors. So, let go and let him grow up! We all get left at some point in our lives and we have to move on. To continue to try and fix this for him robs him of the ability to develop the skills he needs to move forward. If you really care about this guy, let him alone and get on with your life while letting him get on with his. Believe it or not, he'll probably be just fine!

Just be a friend if you can, and dont be mean. I missed my ex very much and I wanted to remain friends, but he was so cold to me and very hurtful. If you can, understand he his hurt, but you can be friends with him and acknowledge him as a person. Just because he is your ex, does not mean he is a horrible human being, unless he did something uncalled for.
Its funny, most ex's are treated like garbage from thier ex bf or gf and they were one of the closest persons you will ever have known. Yet, we treat strangers with more respect. ITs sad and not right.

Make a clean break, leave the poor guy alone, soothing him will give him the wrong idea. Let him get over you by not having any contact with him.

Leave him alone...it will pass! It is NOT up to you to make him feel better. Obviously something broke you 2 up. Now go on your merry little way and tell him TO HECK WITH HIM!
