Was I wrongfully towed?

So, my boyfriend's car was towed when parked in my apartment complex at a spot I know to be vacated. We left the car there for two hours and it was towed. The complex had a sign (only at one entrance, not both) that listed code "22658a." It also did not list the towing companies listed... was I wrongfully towed? I thought they had to have signs posted at both entrances, along with the tow company names.

The section code 22658a states that they have to have the signs posted at both entrances and the towing company listed, unless the lot is improved by a single-family dwelling.

They posted no parking, they stated the code, it's private property...it wasn't a wrongful tow. They don't have to list the towing company, just the number of the police department.

File a complaint contesting the towing of the car and ask for damages if necessary since the towing was illegal.

No, it sounds like they were within their rights. They must be having a problem with people parking in vacated parking, or somebody is in the process of moving in.

You might or might not. Take a look here at the requirements of the property owner and the timeframe involved:

Good luck.
