My friend always talks about how shes fat, i know shes just joking, because she and everyone else know shes in great shape, and a great firgure to boot, but i want to get your guys' opinion on how i should support her and how to tell her shes just great the way she is.

Your friend sounds like she's pretty insecure about herself and may be harboring an eating disorder, such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia. Offering her support might be truly listening to her concerns. Maybe asking her why she thinks she's fat and then seeing where she's coming from. Reassure her that she is well within the norm for her weight and height and find out if it would be helpful if she talked to someone about her fears. Could be that your friend may need some professional help if she's getting depressed and has what's called body dysmorphic disorder. And, by the way, you sound like a pretty good friend already!

She's just fishing for compliments, she wants to be reassured that she's not fat and she uses the "im fat" technique in which I've noticed alot of pretty fit girls use.
Next time she says she's fat, don't give her compliments, just be like, "i don't think you're fat, but if you think you're fat, why don't you follow a proper diet and go to the gym".

My friends used to do that all day. I eventually got so annoyed with them saying that, that I just said "yup," whenever anyone said "I'm fat!", it eventually shut them up. lol, I know I'm so insensitive! But they know I luv 'em, and not to take me seriously!

SHE JUST SAYING THAT because she wants to improve more u should join her in any activities she wants just to loose weight
