I would have to say Dirk, eventhough i don't want to...

Kobe last year avg was great and he didn't win it, this year he throw up 3 consecutive 50 pts game, pull them out of a 7 game losing streak, but he is not recognize as an mvp because his team not doing so well. MVP should be for someone who doing everything for their team, and i thought Kobe should of gotten it last year but he didn't. Especially when everyone thought the lakers weren't gonna make the playoff, but he put them on his shoulder and took them there...

so mvp can be anyone...sort of

I gotta go with Dirk at this moment in time, even though he cracks under pressure sometimes. If he can come through in pressure situations, he'd be a shoe-in for MVP. Quite frankly, he's the leader of the Mavs; all of his teammates rally around him. And look at the crazy as ever record they got this year! That's just unheard of. There are other worthy candidates, but right now, in this moment in time, in this very second of my life, I gotta say Dirk for MVP.

There is only one answer to this question and that is Dirk. The leader of the best team in the NBA. Nash and Kobe are good but Dirk is better.

Who will it be ? ... Disco Dirk without question, he has by far been the best player in the nba this season, and he plays for the best team, not to mention that he's their leader.

Who should it be ? Gilbert Arenas.... He has sunk more game winning shots this season than most players in the nba have in their careers. Look at how much Caron Butler has improved this season, most of the credit goes to Gilbert. If i told you last season Caron would be an all star this year, you'd probably still be laughing at me.

about a week ago everyone was about to give it to dirk nowitzki. now i'm thinking kobe wins his first. i have to say he deserves it, on a far less talented team he's doing some crazy stuff...1st player in over 20 years w 50+ points 3 straight games. and the lakers couldn't sniff the playoffs without him. without dirk....i think the mavs could still compete (but not be NEARLY as good). kobe wins it this year.
