My Mrs. owns 2.14 acres of dryland at InamKolathur village, Trichirappalli (Tamil Nadu), India. There is calm and serenity in this location. There are livelihood establishments in this village. We are interested to start and run an old age home for the really deserving and needy ,irrespective of caste or creed at the global level. No regional , sexual or communal bias will come to play to admit the inmates in the home. For this Community service , I am planning for jointly developing this idea for giving a shape. I plan to start a trust with prospective persons. Even the future inmates also should become the trustees. The thing is that we have to start from the scratch.
I am desirous of registering a trust with provisions for exemption from income tax, availing foreign contribution in line with the regulatory acts. The land can be developed with aesthetic value to the inmates. Interested in the community service? Write to iqbaltnau@yahoo.co.in, 91-04312351558 or 2351459. OK?

Your idea is very good, however before you jump into this please check with lawyers and tax consultants on how this should be structured, as in a trust or cooperative etc. This is very important to build a firm legal and financial foundation. Do you intend to run this as a pure Charity organisation for the aged destitute or are you going to charge some sort of fees?' Also what kind of construction are you looking at. Old people have different requirements where safety is a big issue. Things like toilets, living quarters and bathrooms need to have safety features to prevent accidents and fracture of bones as well as spaces large enough to use wheel chairs. Will you provide basic health and nursing care?
