The guy with horrendous footwork won't stand a chance against these bullet trains. He did well against Bermuda, but how many fast bowlers did they have?
SEE WHAT HAPPENNED WITH KUMBLE IN THE LINEUP??? I know Indian batted first but there was assurance that they have a match winning wicket taker in Kumble and hence took the risks and played big shots against Bermuda....i know he has a bad record against Sri Lanka, but he has very good numbers against sri lanka in world cup tournaments! He has played against them 4 times yo!!! India have an asset of 2 top 10 spinners...kumble and harbjan...why the hell is India not utilizing them at the same time????
Anyways, I want this lineup
Uthappa (he did well against Malinga and Mahroof in the recent Sri Lanka series, he scored his best score against them)
Ganguly
Pathan (All rounder, legit no. 3., his best scores in ODI and test matches have come from batting at no. 3)
Dravid
Sachin
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Harbajan
Kumble
Agarkar
Zaheer

They are only as fast as our own Zaheer,Patel,Agarkar etc..but perhaps have better control.
They simply have to play their own game undaunted by the circumstances.To be cautious only till gauging the nature of wicket and assessing the bowler for one or two overs.Thereafter they have to free themselves.They can win.
Harbhajan lacks variety to be replaced by Sehwag and Agarkar to be replaced by Patel.

First Sehwag is an asset to the when he gets going , In the bermuda match he came into form that is the innings he was waiting for a long time . He can give india a brightful start with his devastating batting and on his day he is a nightmare to the world no.1 bowler also . he doesnot care who the bowler , if he sees the ball he hits it , that is his strength and weakness . Thats why dravid is uncertain to decide against him . So for this game he should be playing in the team . Lets hope he performs in the most important match today . I back him to play in this important match. Best of luck team india

I would think that Sehwag would suffer against many fast bowlers especially in the beginning of an innings. However if he does survive the initial onslaught he tends to dominate the bowlers. Srilankans are not bad players of spin bowling. In my opinion, the fast bowlers are the key in the bowling department. Both the teams rely heavily on their batting and the batsmen from both the teams would be hoping to bat at their best.

i mean just because sehwag scored a century against berumda doesn't mean that he is in form
i agree that uthappa should open, given his recent performance against sri lanka.

My guess is Lanka is all for to loose against India as they don't want free points to others who have to play Bangladesh instead of India.
