Can banjo music ever be depressing?

i think for Steve to be able to pull it off correctly he would have to have the fake arrow and a balloon hat, then it would not be depressing

That's funny that you mention that because I was thinking of asking a Steve Martin question earlier. But, I do think that Steve Martin would lighten up that jam considerably.

If you've ever hear Casimir Pulaski Day by Sufjan Stevens, then you'll know that the banjo can be used in a sad song. Also, my great uncle is a great banjo player and he could easily bring a tear to your eye with one of his classic Appalachian style songs. I wish that I could give you an example of both.

LOL! That makes me laugh just thinking about it... I love the movie with Steve Martin adopted by the black family... Soooo funny of a guy he is.... His expressive ways are so great....

no, actually it would probably turn the song into a lighthearted rag if steve, john mc, bela or earl ,were to throw a gourd track onto the song......
