Yes, It's called the Old Testament and it is the OLD covenant with God. It's the same old stuff people try to use out of context when they want to discredit God. God had reasons for doing things the way he did WAY BACK THEN... since Jesus came we are now under the New Covenant. If you would read the entire Bible rather than just picking and choosing what you think will make God look bad, maybe you'd understand the whole picture. Even skeptics that have at least taken the time to study the entire Bible will tell you that God does not contradict himself. Educate Yourself before you make yourself look even more foolish.

Yes, it is very interesting stuff. I'm not sure you're right about the not screaming loud enough bit, but plenty of sex of all kinds.
The new testament and especially the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) have plenty of great stuff in them and can teach you about what is most impoartant and how to live your life well.
But I also really dig the books written by Solomon; Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Songs, some of the Psalms. That guy was one smart dude who knew a thing or two about a thing or two and can knock me on my butt with the beauty of his words and thinking.
Go find a Bible and read proverb 8 right now if you find one and you want some good inspiration. It's good stuff.

Seems the fellow that inspired the four books known as the gospels had some wise things to say - but I try not to get wrapped up in the rest.

Yeah. There was another one supposed to be written by a guy called Joe Smith, (good anonymous name, that), who lost some gold by giving it some other guy called Moroney who said he was an angel?!? I mean, how dumb can you get?!
