You could use a third-party software called Folder Lock or if you are the administrator of that computer, then you could just make a Guest account for other people to use. In this way, all your files could only be accessed if you are using the administrator account.

Right Click the pictures folder and then from the pop-up menu, select sharing--and then make sure "Do not share this folder" is selected. Also you can go to properties, and then from the advanced tab - select Encrypt this file/folder.

put them in the wonderful folder marked 'trash'. If there are separate accounts, I believe you can make the folder private, by adjusting the security settings (right click, sharing and security, sharing tab, check the box--at least on my pc). if there's only one account, then you may be screwed.
