Hi Sandi P,
My guess would be, that you have some "anger" that you need to express... but feel powerless to voice, it..
>>>>>>>>
It can be anyone who is in your life that is acting "like a Father".... A bossy boss, or a controlling person...anyone who makes you feel childlike to their "parental" superiority... Dreams as convoluted as they can, get have one thing in common...the "emotions and intensity", they contain is accurate, even if the target in the dream isn't.....
>>>>>>>>
As for the "attacking part", it could be the result of fights you have had in the past.. that you still think about, or even that you still have anger toward him.. unconsciously.. (not realizing you are still angry) ....
>>>>>>>
Dreams, are simply "thoughts" we have had, things we have seen, or things we have heard.....

I hope this will help you, to understand........

Thanks for the question! :)

My regards!

Take care, Sandi P!

Edit : Sandi, I put a link below...
So that you at least have a peaceful night...

well, I think these mice are coming swarming up from somewhere below the surface; from the basement, from underground, underneath the floorboards.
They dwell in secret places such as these and feed and reproduce and live and die away from the light of day.
But if the conditions for them are good down there, (maybe they've tapped into a really good food source that you have lost or forgotten in some dark hole), then they will multiply and overflow as the new babies seek to expand the colony.
This is a creative force, but potentially a very dangerous one. See the movie Willard, especially the recent remake starring Crispin Glover. Your dream is exactly what the movie is about. It's creepy and a little scary, but you will learn something.
Willard made friends with the mice, and at first he could control them and used them to get what he wanted. But eventually he lost control and then everything went down the tubes.
You need to go down there and find out where all these mice are coming from, and you need to take steps to contain them so they are not a threat. As long as you are careful and wise then they may show you the way to make the world your own.

This could mean two different things.

1. the mouse is your totem animal.

2. Maybe you are being attacked by little spirits that your mind perceives as mice.

I wrote a blog entry on Yahoo 360 that deals with several forms of psychic protection. Try some of the techniques, and see if this helps.

Mice
To see mice in your dream, symbolizes domestic problems, business loss, deceit, and insincere friends. It represents minor problems in which you are spending too much time dwelling on.

To dream that you kill a mouse, signifies that you will overcome your rivals.

To dream that a mouse jumps on you or into your clothing, foretells of scandal in which you will largely figure in.

To dream that you or someone is eating mice, indicates that there is something that has been nagging your conscience and you need to get off your chest.

Love & Blessings
Milly

One more repeat answer, just put plainly. It would seem as if your not feeling confident in some way. There is maybe some slight depression.
I would guess that once your feeling like yourself again, this dream will stop visiting your nights.
Good luck and just find your happiness.

How about putting out some mouse traps and see if you catch any.
