Hey, I've got a problem. My best guy friend keeps ignoring me.He's really nice and I was his second friend since he moved here at the beginning of the year. A girl (we'll call her Karin) was his first friend, we all became really close friends. All of a sudden he ditched us though... We still hang out together in the 'normal' group.
But he also hangs around the preps. I want to hang around him but all these pretty, popular girls just swarm around him and I don't want to be near them. I don't know why we have drifted so far apart but I really need some advice. He's his old self after school when we hang out, I don't know what to say to him, 'Karry' seems really hurt that he ditched her, what should i do?

Sorry to say this but eventually he'll stop being friends with you b/c everyone wants to hang out with the popular people.

Everyone goes through that faze. I did. I feel terrible of how I acted to my Best Friend Since Kindergarten at that time.
I started hanging out with the popular girls at skool...but that didn't last long, they're to annoying, and they talk about nothing except boys and makeup! lol. After I realised I was beeing a total @** to her, I told her I was really really really sorry and would she ever forgive me? She did and we're still Best Friends!
So what I'm saying is give him time, he'll eather realise that he's beeing a total @** by ignoring you and "Karin" , Or he's not worth your guys time.

Best of Luck!

obviously these other girls are just trying to steal your thunder
if you ignore the situation and not allow them to perceive that they have some power over you through him then they will lose interest and you will have your buddy back again. Tell your girlfriend to chill out and although she is hurt she should not demonstrate it to him or those chicks
Just keep acting like it all slides off your back and these chicks will lose interest short order !!!
And if they do not and he continues to hang with them
well good riddance
he is obviously a phony whom buckles under peer pressure and group think and who needs a friend like that anyway???
Let this be a life lesson
people will let you down, friends may not always stay so, and people show their true colors over time. Don't get so emotionally attached to people you connect with unless you have some true history to attest for their loyalty and character.

well, it seems like he ditched you to be around the popular and pretty girls...but it depends on what you want to do, because there are a few options.
1. You can talk to him about how you feel about him hanging out with the preps

2. You can stop being his friend, although that is not the road that i would take...

well, i hope that you get over your problem!

tell Him you don't appreciate him ignoring you and Karin like that If he was a friend he would always be a friend not just after school when no one is around if he is the true friend he claims to be then he shouldn't care what the preppies think about him if you all hang out during school. If he doesn't then he is no friend at all and you need to find better friends. :)

Forget about him. If he's ignoring you at school around the preps then he's obviously not that good of a friend. These people that he hangs out with probably don't like you and that's why he's ignoring you. After school when he tries to hang out with you ignore him and see how he likes it.

If you're worth being friends with privately then you're worth being friends with publicly. Of course you're hurt and so is your other friend. However, are you willing to tell him how you feel and loosing his friendship all together when he turns to the more popular group. Sounds like he is a snob and has gotten an in with a group in which you don't fit. He has to make a choice or he would if he wanted to be a friend of mine.

Accept things for what they are. During school its a popularity contest and people get caught up in it. Give him a reality check and let him now how you feel. Dont worry its normal for friends to grow apart. You will make new friends.

forget about him. if he`d rather go with a crowd just to fit in instead of hang with his real friends, he`s not a good friend in the first place.
