You know, there is a lot more to Louisiana than New Orleans.

it all depends on which part of the state. Down around the gulf I think of Casinos, Cajuns, catfish farms, crawdads, Gumbo. I think of Mardi Gras. Most people I have met from Louisiana were nice. There was one gentleman who relocated here after the hurricane who wasn't so nice. He complained about everything here and was insulting! The community had come togther to help him in the first place. I got fed up with his crap and told him"If you don't like it here then go back." I also think of the song" Battle of New Orleans." When that song came out my cousin like to drove us all nuts playing it so often!

Hurricane Katrina Victims... no laughing matter.
I'm aware there is more to the state of Louisiana, aside from New Orleans... however in general.. the state and it's residents are most memeorble for their recent tradgedy..... if they had not just been hit by a hurricane... I would have made cracks like... "my daddy married his sister, but it didn't effect me none!"

Having lived there when I was younger, I associate people from Louisiana with kindness and a certain sense of humor.. and great crayfish boils..

i know a few folks from there, and they are similar to the folks in my home state of east tenn.......nice, down to earth , folks.... like to eat well, live well, and have a good time, similar tastes in music also....and they share similar backgrounds....
