Not knowing what pests you have, it is difficult to answer this question. On the other hand, I can direct you to a website about Integrated Pest Management (meaning, using least toxic methods to get rid of pests) that is supplied by the University of California, Davis. It's a great, well-known, accurate, peer-reviewed site and browse around for your pest of choice!

If there are certain threats made by pests, it will be impossible to get rid without using pesticides and it may be a matter of indoor or outdoor, a professional expertise is very much important. Excessive usage of pesticides may be harmful for health. So, be careful while using pesticides while removing indoor pests. Thanks for the conversation.

Yes. Although the specific methods and materials will vary with the pest and with your particular circumstances, many non-chemical controls are available. In general, good housekeeping and cleanliness will help to deny pests access to your home, eliminate shelter and hiding places for the pests and/or remove their supply of food and water. Without these critical elements, pests will not establish or persist in your home. Traps may help to eliminate those pests that have already entered your home. Consult the references listed below, the Cooperative Extension Service, or a knowledgeable and qualified pest control professional for specific remedies for particular problems.

the things that you plug in the wall for small pests and bugs really work, but pay the money and buy the good ones. I live on a two acre lot with a lot of trees and a lot of dampness, I did have trouble with spiders and in the winter mice would occasionally get in, even though i have a cat. Last summer we bought them and it takes a few weeks to a month, cause it makes them leave you might see more for a while, but i haven' seen more than two spiders since last june and no mice this winter, I swear! first time and i've lived in this house for 15 years

The only sure way to cure indoor pests is to have the pesky liberals listen to Michael Savage regularly! Put away your pesticide and bring on the conservative radio!!!

Yes. Most importantly, keep the outside perimeter clean by removing old leaves, dirt and plants that are too close to the house.
Keep inside clean and clutter free, bugs don't like to be "bugged". Remove food sources. (The ants really like our cat's food.)
Since bugs don't like mint, I use Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Soap(found at health stores) for cleaning around the house.
You can also make baits or traps for outside.
This is my favorite bug killing reference book:
Environmentally Friendly Pest Control, by Dr. Robert H. Stauffer.

cinnamon works great for repelling ants as they hate the smell and it is safe to use and also smells nice for us humans.
