Well today during lunch my friend, Jamie and i were talking about this one girl named Kim. I said i like Kim because she was very nice to me.
A few minutes later, Jmaie told me that Kim hated me because she thought i was following her since i always ended up in her team for PE.
SO jamie told me that kim hates me and said bad stuff about me. I did not take it too seriously but i was just joking around with Jamie and i called Kim fat. But it was a total joke.
Then when i went to the library Jamie told kim i called her fat. Kim was going around telling everyine that i called her fat. THen in 5 period PE this one girl said "hey why did you call KIM fat?''
I got so mad because i cant believe jamie told someone a secret i told her. and i was not even serious. When i asked while she told,Jamie said because she had to know.
i am really scared to go to school because they might do something to me. You see i am like the nerd in school. I did talked to kim about this. What do i do?

Jamie is the problem here. Tell Kim that you did not mean that she was fat, just tell her that you were upset because Jamie had told you that she hates you and apologise to her. Stay away from Jamie and find some friends who are worth having that wont go around and stab you in the back.

Well, I think most of the time people are all talk and no action, but not always. First i would tell Jamie to quite doing that, because if she was a real friend she would not do that in the first place, it sounds like she just wants attention. Then, I would go up to Kim and tell her you were upset at her because she said she hated you, and you did not mean that. Beside Jamie might have not even heard that she hated you and just was jelous that you like kim as a friend and tried to get you get mad at each other. And i was a big nerd in school too so if worse comes to worse than just stay near a teacher lol. But you really should work this out with Kim and Jamie. I hope i helped, and im a sophomore in school so i should know a little bit of what's going on.

You stop, realize that this is simply another thing to watch out for at school. You stop (I mean COMPLETELY stop) being nice/polite to Jamie (personally I would throw in some strong word like WHORE) and tell kim it was a joke, but it seems obvious that jamie is jealous of the friendship you and kim share. Then wait a week and everything should be completely normal.

Jamie isn't a good friend if she can't keep a secret. You have to trust a friend. I suggest to show up to school with your head held high. Don't worry about any comments. Try talking to Jamie. Or find a new friend =)

Do you see now how gossip can ruin live, reputations and friendships? The best way to stop it all is get everyone involved together and discuss it out. As for saying something as a joke...it's not a joke if you don't say it to the person but tell a third party. Oh and secrets....secrets are just fuel for gossip...don't start any, walk away if someone else starts it, if someone tells you some concerning you say "They said that??? Let's you and I go and ask them if that's true or not" That stops most in it's tracks...remember if you don't want to be mentioned in the gossip mill don't start any!!! A lot of this you brought on yourself, you have to decide what kind of person you want to be? Popular and in the gossip mill or someone YOU can be proud of and chose not to participate.
Like my Dad says "Don't start none and there won't be none"

sounds like jamie is a *****...dont talk to her anymore. i mean i knno she is a friends but just give her the cold shoulder! always works makes them feel really bad...go to school and try to ignore it...godd! i felt tht way a year ago in 6th grade. talk with kim again and explian what had happened exactly! how jamie said that kim said that she hated u.

i would steer clear of jamie for a while
seems to me that she isn't that trustworthy
you can't stop going to school
so my best advice is to tackle the problem at the root
either:
1. talk to jaimie and tell her to tell Kim that you were just kidding
2. tell kim you are sorry and hope you guys can put it behind
3. just stick it up and dont care about what others say about you because you kno its not true
