Just curious, because she plays these blind parts so well..As far as being blind in "The Village" as well as "Red Dragon". Any clues? I looked it up on google and only found a slight clue where she stated it was better she couldn't see herself on screen...That could have also been stating the obvious. Just a random question I HAD to ask. Thanks!

Emily Watson is not blind. As she wasn't in The Village, that was Bryce Dallas Howard.

The actress who portrayed a blind girl in the movie "The Village" is Bryce Howard, daughter of actor/director Ron Howard. No, Emily Watson is not blind .She portrayed a blind woman in the movie "Red Dragon".( I believe that is the correct title) You can see her in what I believe to be the best role she has ever played, as the mother "Angela" in the movie "Angela's Ashes", in which she is very much not blind!
