my friend asked me this, and i really dont konw the anwser...so thats why im here...thanks for the help

Unless it is set up as a public site, it is illegal to leech off someone else's wireless connection.

The thing is -- if your neighbor never secured their wireless router and you start your laptop and get connected thru their router--I would say - it's their fault.
But if you have a wifi connection on your own--then don use theirs. Even if its available.

Dont worry about it I use my neighbors when im out on my back yard to play psp

just offer to pay half the bill,they will eventually find out someone is using their connection if you download torrents,etc.
