I don't think he'll be the greatest ever, but the greatest of his era definately. Lebron may be more athletic or a better passer (or passes more) but no one can take over a game and will his team to victory like Kobe can. Sure the Lakers won't win another title unless Kobe gets a good interior defender (or Bynum and kwame start locking down the paint) but the man gives 110 every night and 80% of the time he's unguardable. There is no player in the NBA who comes close to the greatness of Kobe Bryant.

10 more years. I think not. He may be a great player but he's not Super Man. And no he will not be the greatest to ever play. Because he has 0 MVP's, he's been involved with some off the court problems, and whenever you bring up those 3 championships, people will always think of him as second fiddle to Shaq in those three seasons.

i believe that he will be! and cut the BS about him raping a girl! that has NOTHING to do with basketball! Kobe will win an NBA championship without shaq and will get the only MVP that matters... the finals MVP! NBA kobe has put you on notice!
PS JDW you want Kobe to accomplish every award that you grill him for. every award that says nothing but a selfish player. YET in you head he should go for every single award out there JUST to prove to you that he's the best??? Rookie of the year??? 6th man of the year??? three point shooting champ?? LMAO i have no more words for you! you have clearly proven that you're the dumbest person in the world!!

no. just because you can score points doesn't mean you're the best ever. Look at Oscar Robertson, the only man in NBA history to average a triple double for an entire season. Kobe could never do that. Wilt chamberlin not only holds the record for points in a game (100), he aslo holds the record for rebounds in a game (50). And character also plays a large part it making a statment like that (in my opinion).

He'll be one of the all time greats, but not the greatest.
10, 20 years down the stretch, people will still be talking about having the next MJ. It'll take something alittle special from this current Lakers side to make people talk about having the next Kobe Bryant.

kobe is a great player, but nobody has been or ever will be at mj's level--and i think people should stop calling people the next Mike because nobody is near accomplishing all that mike has. MJ = best all time, kobe = top 20 talents of all time
