My former husband and I knew eachother since we were 12. We started dating at 14, married at 25, and divorced at 26 (w/o children). He did not want to divorce but I knew it was the best thing for the both of us. I would contact him every few months to see how he was doing. I know he remarried a couple of years later.
Fast forward 4 years. I have had a child and moved out of state. In the past month I have had numerous deams about him (at least 10-15 in 30 days). Some are with us together, some not. My mom thinks that these dreams mean that something is going on in his life and that I should contact him to make sure he is okay. Although I am curious as to how he is doing, I don't know what I should do.

I get those same kind of dreams .. though not about your husband ... but about people that I've not seen in a long time. At those times, I stop and pray for them, and if I feel so led, I may call them. BUT, you really need to check your motivations before you call. Might not be a good thing to do.

I think you should contact him. I have been married and divorced and with my situation, I would NOT contact my X, but with yours, I think you should. I have also been known to have dreams, or something of the sort about someone and it turns out that something has happened and I have always been grateful that I did contact the person afterward! I never ignore my dreams or feelings that I have like that! By all means, contact him. Ya'll have a history together. You can't ignore that!

I'd say to go ahead and call him. It's crazy how stuff shows up in your dreams, kind of telling you that something is up in their life or yours.
Several years ago, I had been thinking a lot about an ex-fiance and almost contacted him. Then he died in an accident and I've always regretted not getting in touch with him when I had the chance.

First thought would be that these are dreams not premonitions and leave well enough alone. However, you guys have known each other for a long time. If you have his e-mail address, send him an e-mail and just ask how he's doing and tell him how your doing. Just a touch base e-mail.
Some of us connect on a spiritual level and you don't want to pass it up if he is connecting with you in a time of need.

You divorced him now please have the good grace to leave him alone and quit mucking with his head. If you're having dreams about him get some counseling there is something missing in YOUR life not his. He isn't sending you dreams this is not a soap opera. Save the drama for your mama and get busy finding other things to occupy your time and dreams. Like for instance your child and spouse. Let's see what is the appropriate phrase.... ah yes.... Get a life!

I kinda understand what you are going through...however, I agree with the majority. Don't call but call someone that know him and ask in a round about way...is he OK? Explain that you had a weird dream and its been bothering you so you called them instead of him. They probably could answer the question...as if he is OK or not. If not, then what are your plans? My advice...if he is still married let wifey handle it. If you are needed for anything, trust me someone will call you. So go ahead call a mutual friend or someone who knows him personally and that could answer your question. But don't call a Sh%$ starter...they can assist you in opening a can of whup *** ; ).

I feel like I wrote this question myself, give him a call, he may say that he is fine but I do believe that is why you are dreaming about him, my dreams turned out to be true, he was in a bad way, my mom always says that when you think about someone out of the blue you should say a prayer for them.

I think you dream about him because he is on your mind and want to know how he is. I would not call him, let him be. If you want, you can contact someone who knows him well and ask how he is doing. But I would not call him home, because its disrespectful to the woman he is with now.

just call and ask how he is doing, leave it to friendship talk. nothing seems wrong with contacting him, u did spend a long time together.
