I'd have to say Rick Barnes--he's proven he can get talent at Texas, he's proven he can win, and he'll be top dog in the conference. Kansas is still sort of the trump team in the Big 12, even with Texas playing at their level. Texas just can't match their tradition, plus they will always be a football school first and foremost. The SEC is ruled by UK when they have a capable coach. Tubby is a good coach but he just doesn't recruit A+ talent. Barnes left Clemson, b/c he knew that even with great players he couldn't compete with the traditions of Duke and UNC at a football school. At Kentucky he will have top level college hoops tradition and be the #1 team in his conference year in and year out. I think, that unlike Tubby, he can handle the pressure b/c he recruits incredible lottery-pick-type players.

Your gonna laugh at this one and he would've never left in the first place and you know those UK boosters and alumni have the doe, none other than their former coach, RICK PITINO !, how much would the big wigs at uk love to take Pitino back from their interstate hated rival, louisville. it most likely would not happen, then again, would not shock me. none of these other names out there can match the credentials of pitino, except maybe his protege, billy donovan at florida, but i don't see donovan leaving florida for kentucky.

I don't beleive any money or extension would ever keep Tubby at UK due to the way some of the fans have treated him from day one!

I wouldn't be surprised if John C from Memphis went to UK as he loves to cheat and win at any cost which is what those few UK mover-shakers want!!! Remember Sutton...
