I'm not familiar with these drugs at all, however I do know what chemotherapeutic drugs do to the body's cells. Their basic purpose is to slow down the reproductive systems within cells that want to reproduce quickly. This is becasue cancer cells grow and divide (or reproduce) very quickly. By slowing down this system, the cancerous cells will not be able to reproduce quickly, and other drugs such as radiation therapies may be used to kill the remaining cancerous cells. Take a look at someone who is on chemo, they tend to lose their hair and have nail growth problems..this is because the drugs slow the reproduction of cells that want to reproduce quickly such as your hair and nails.

Adriamycin, if I remember well, has a direct toxic effect on the myocardium causing a type of cardiomyopathy. Vincristine impairs cell division by binding to microtubules and preventng the completion of mitosis. This is why the side effects are more geared towards fast dividing cells such as the GI tract and bone marrow.
