unless you are interviewing for an "artsy" i would not wear red, i always wear the standard white shirt and a power tie. however if it is all that you own, then i would wear a sharp tie, that has the same red, and black, or blue, depending on the suit

You shouldn't even consider wearing a red shirt to an interview. Choose a white or blue shirt instead and wear it with a dark blue or yellow tie with a small, conservative pattern. Blue and white both suggest reliability and loyalty. Red, on the other hand, suggests boldness that you do not necessarily want to express in a job interview.
At the company where I work (a four-star hotel), if someone showed up for an interview in a bright red shirt, he/she would immediately be out of consideration for the job, regardless of his/her qualifications. Sadly, this poor choice tells so much that it screams, "I'm not really interested in this job, so much as I'm interested in making a bold statement!"
Unless of course, your interview is at a hair salon, tattoo parlor or art gallery, and you KNOW a red shirt would be acceptable at an interview there--otherwise, I strongly advise against the red shirt.

By wearing a bright red shirt, you are not afraid to stand out so wear a fluro yellow tie. If you wear a conservative shade with a bright red shirt you will look weird.
Go the yellow tie!

first off...do not wear a bright red shirt to an interview, research shows that calmer neutral colours make you seem much more personable. I would recommend a white shirt, or a plain light blue shirt, with a complementary tie: for the white shirt: pretty much any tie that is not to "busy"(too bold of a design), and for the light blue: A tie with a similar shade, but a different colour, so no bright colours stick to lighter colours, like maybe a light yellow, but not pink, because a lot of people have mixed feelings about men wearing pink (why, idk its just a colour). Good luck on your inteview!

I recommend using a black tie with a bright red shirt because it makes boys or guys look hotter.

Don't wear a bright red shirt to an interview. It's too bold and will not reflect well on you.

If you are interviewing for a business/office type job, skip the red shirt. Maybe white or other less bright, solid color shirt. Good luck.

You're not supposed to wear red. Once you perspire, your perspiration will make you look messy and disastrous. Better wear light blue with matching navy blue necktie. For color blue means you are ready to face extra challenge and ready to serve your prospective employer. Besides, blue is a masculine color, too.
Good luck and GOD BLESS.
