What's behind all this fear? Terror-ist, war on terror, Patriot act, shadow government... North American Free-Trade Agreement, North American Alliance, instead of United States of America... what's your answer?

Keep it up...the purpose of this question is to make us think. It's interesting how many of you mention conspiracy. Where did I use the word conspiracy in my question? Pretty quick with the branding and name- calling, eh? Think I'm un-American for even daring to mention this subject? This is definitely bringing the roaches out of the woodwork, and of course NAFTA was passed while ol' Bill was at the wheel. He was just a tool, of course!

That it is only about the money!
In reality they could care less about, abortion, gay marriage, government spending, illegal immigration and states rights.

Did nothing about them when they had all the power did they? Huh?

Now that they are in Iraq (the reason Bush is in office), they have no plans to leave. The goal was to take Iraq and secure oil rights. There is big money to be made there no matter how many US soldiers die!
It sure won't be any of their families paying the ultimate cost!

Bush signed CAFTA not NAFTA, a blunder none the less.

If the wheels of fear stop turning for these folks, their agendas no longer matter. The republican party during the last elections put out a dozen or so "commercials" depicting attacks of a certain kind, on a certain country. None of it eludes to America, however this is what we are meant to believe. Then, when some random video comes from some random guy in the Middle East depicting the same types of events, the republicans are quick to call this a scare tactic of "the enemy."

Well I have a question. WHO IS THE ENEMY? Is it terrorists? Is it another country? An ideal? Or is it the people of this country?

People are starting to see through all the fear mongering coming from neo-cons. So you better get prepared for some big event I am sure, or a raising of the threat level, or them "thwarting" some non-existent plan by the "terrorist."

I am just curious, how in the hell does Iraq fit into the terrorism picture? Honestly. They didn't have weapons, let alone a capable army to defend itself. They didn't attack us. They didn't provoke us. They didn't "harbor" Al Qaeda. They weren't butt buddies with Osama.

Since 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, why didn't we go in there and take them out? Oil interests? Friends?

American people need to stop being so complacent, and stop believing everything that the government is telling them.

Having a father who worked in the Treasury Department and CIA, I'd suggest that most people know enough about real government to be mail-room boys at the Pentagon.

We gripe, we gossip, we kibbutz. We tell them they are doing it wrong. They don't know how the game is played. We are the experts, we know what we are doing, and they don't know the first thing about "checkers" (to draw an analogy).

They just keep playing chess and shake their heads.

After all the stories my father told, and all I've learned as a result?

Thank God we have a government capable of such things as secrecy and putting our nation's interests before idiocy like "sharing our secrets with the world".

I'm a patriot. I don't sell out our country with innuendo and treating them as "guilty until proven innocent".

Besides, having come from a formally Islamic family I am not unfamiliar with what Islam has in store for the rest of the world.

Thank God President Bush had the strength of will to face them now rather than when they were ready.

Read the Quran and other holy books (which Islam takes as literally true by VAST majority, unlike Christians and the Bible). Educate yourselves before you buy into this conspiracy nonsense (but listen to the conspiracy stuff anyway. It's entertaining, and some of it is true. Just keep a criticial ear out for all sides of the issue, unless our poster would prefer to censor the other side...?"

First of all, get your facts straight. Clinton brought us NAFTA against the warnings of Congress and the Senate. Most of the Republicans were against it, just as there are many now who are against AFTA. Meanwhile, I haven't heard one Dem politician speak out against any of these trade agreements. As far as using this cliche' Neo Conservative crap, either a person is a conservative, or he isn't. Does it make you feel important and big using Neo with the word conservative? As far as what does the conservative party have to hide? No more than the far left nut jobs that want to turn this entire country into a Communist/Socialist Godless cesspool full of illegal aliens so they can get more illegal votes. Nancy Pelosi sure as hellll doesn't want us to be a sovereign nation, nor Leahy, Dean, Hitlery Rotten Clinton, Kerry, the Kennedys, Obama, Kucinich, Reid, and the list goes on. Those are absolute traitors to this country and worst of all, to the people of this country.

They know liberals cant come up with creative questions that don't mimic questions that were asked by a Conservative a few minutes before lol.

all kidding aside.

Fear? well I was not afraid till 9/11 and I haven't been afraid since 9/12

Terrorists? the are not new, Carter had them did nothing, Regan had them and put a hurt on them, Bush one no real problem, Clinton had them did nothing, Bush two has them and he is putting a hurt on them like Regan.

Patriot act was written by liberals, way to go liberals, destroy our rights.... lol

Shadow government? there is about as much shadow as at high noon on a summers day... if it was a shadow government then half the stuff we know we would not know.

NAFTA? others answered that.

North America alliance? wow neighbors helping neighbors... what a horrible thought.

So what the neo-cons big secret?

They use facts over emotions and logic and reason over feeling.

You and I know the answer to that grrinn. Unfortunately the sheeple wont listen because their either to scared or are in serious denial , as to the powers that be intentions. I really think that part of their plan is to destroy the USA from within , whether economically , racially or otherwise.. Anarchy will be squelched by a UN,type force . And Islam is a scapegoat , in order to control the oil wealth in the Middle East and to advance the agenda of a Zionist nation of Israel . And you can call me antisemitic , but any educated person can diferentiate between Zionism(Political movement) and Judiasm ( Religion). Remember Osama was the CIAs best friend once as was Saddam .

I recently got back after bugging the headquarters of the neo conservatives. They all agreed to the following. No neo conservative will vote for Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, or that guy Kucinich. They also said and this is really secret that they won't vote for George Bush.
THERE!! now you know their biggest secret.

The biggest secret is that they want to turn the US government into a Christian theocracy. Notice how that's the direction they're going with all of their attempts to legally control:
adult consentual sexual behavior
prayer and creationism in schools
federal funding for faith-based organizations (98% of it went to Christian organizations)

They are the American Taliban.

simple... a very small percentage of the American population make a very large percentage of the money made in America... and they didn't "work 10,000 times harder" than everyone else... most just got lucky...

it's is called the "land of opportunity"... but in reality, a very few people control the vast majority of the "opportunity"...

if Republicans realized that most big business would sell them and their souls to satan for a shiny dime (if they couldn't make a buck of them any other way)... then things would change in the party...
