There is supposed to be. However, it was scheduled to be released in 2006. Production began with Warner Bros though, Paramount is said to have the rights now. If you go to http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/preview/1808512049, you can see the details.

I dont know what the status is of it but a few years ago they started talking of the biggest casting call in history, so big, that everyone that was anyone in Hollywood was being talked to.

GI-Joe was the project.

of course this was at the same time that "Superman: DOOMSDAY" was working on a similar casting call.

I havent heard of anyting on Joe in at least 4 years now.

Why not watch the old one? THE STORY OF G I JOE was Robert Mitchum's first starring role. It's the true story of war correspondent Ernie Pyle, portrayed by Burgess Meredith. Pretty good flick!
