I am an old Twins fan and have a soft spot for Ron Washington. I'd like to hear what real Rangers fans think of the hire? Are you all excited about it or did you want someone else?

I hear the players love him... a real "players manager". i am not actually a Rangers fan, but I think he will do a nice job and Rangers fans should be very happy with the hire. He should have gotten a chance long ago in my opinion, he is well respected and a class act in general.

Idont know to much about Ron ,but I believe the rangers should be a lot better team than they are with teixera,blalock,wilkerson and others.They are a better team.
