Yes, but its hard because we as humans think about ourselves more than anything else. You have to put them above you.

I suspect that every Mom on this site will say YES! No doubt!
I however am not a mom, but I do think I'm capable of unconditional love. how else could I empty my kitty's litter box every day, vacuum her leftover fur off the floor, clean up the occasional creepy hairball, and feed and water and love her everyday?! No expectations, just feel blessed to have her share my life and apartment with me.

Absolutely, up to a point. Unconditional love has conditions attached to it because a serious relationship has implied conditions, such as honesty, and mutual feelings of love. When lying, stealing, manipulation, and cheating take place, all bets are off. So there really is no such thing as unconditional love. Anyone who thinks there is is naive.

No, I think the idea is ridiculous. If it's truly unconditional then you'd love everyone that way. The fact that you love some specific person already says that there's a condition -- that it's them.
Caveat: I'll give the people that said their children credit. You don't get to pick them.

yes i unconditionally love my children, parents, my brothers, my Buzia (Grandma in Polish) and my Grandpa on my mom's side. and maybe some cousins and other family too, but those named are the most important to me and regardless of what they do I will always love them. They could kill my pets and spit on my face and I'd get over it and keep on loving them regardless. Only the truly selfish people are incapable of real unconditional love.

Not sure - the only unconditional love is from a mother, and I don't have children yet.

I unconditionally love my children. There is nothing they or anyone else could do to ever change that.
