Don Bradman. Without a doubt.

Bradman does hold the batting average record that I dont think would ever be broken. But he was in the era when Cricket was played with the "sportsman spirit" and there was no or very little hype around it. If he was batting in this era, he would never have had the level of success that he got.

I think Sachin, Lara and Ponting would be much better than Bradman in these timesand hence I rate them as better than Bradman.

Sir Don Bradman was the greatest batsman ever in the world cricket as while his record of centuries has been broken, no batsman has been able to achieve his strike rate till date.

i don't think its fair to compare two players of different eras, because a lot of things have changed since bradman played.

bradman was the best in his era, and tendulakar is the best in this era

Two different ages, epochs , so different from each other, in so many ways, in so many aspects: both are great players, the discussion will go on for a long, long time!
