See my suggestion for hotel in your other question... From downtown, my group found ourselves constantly returning to two really great bars: an upscale "sports" bar called Earls, where the waitstaff must have a requirement - only "8s" or higher - to work there. Oh, and the beer is pretty fantastic, too! The other is this really authentic appearing Irish pub called Doolin's. It's on a corner, but can be hard to spot at first - ask the concierge for directions. Both are only 2 blocks from the hotel. They were pretty packed most nights of the week with some fun-loving people!

Caprice (pub/nightclub) is awesome! Roxy is good too... there's Buffalo too, never been there but it's pretty famous. If you walk on Granville St you'll find a lot of places to go, it's great! :)
If you're student there's AuBar... nothing spectacular but you'll have fun! It's on Seymour St.
Just don't ever forget the 2 pieces of ID.

Just head on down to Granville street. They moved all the downtown bars there. But be warned, it can be a circus.
