iMPACT! opens with a video package recapping last week's show.
To kick off the show, JB's in the back with Angle, Joe and Rhino. Angle states that there are three huge egos in front of him right now. They're in the game to be the best. Just imagine when these three huge egos unite and become one. Three parts of a machine that will run over Christian, Styles and anyone that Christian brings to Lethal Lockdown.
Tenay announces the card for the night. "Cowboy' James Storm vs. Jerry Lynn, Sting/Abyss vs. Cage/Styles in a 'Hell Froze Over Match'.
Serotonin make their way to the ring without Raven, gearing up for their six-man tag match. Rhino, Joe then Angle make their way to the ring shortly after.
The match kicks off with Rhino and Martyr, Rhino sends a kick to Martyr. Martyr into the ropes, shoulder block. Rhino into the ropes, Martyr attempts a hip toss, Rhino counters and sends him down. Tags given to Angle and Kaz. Kaz swings at Angle, German Suplex. European uppercut, Kaz into the ropes, multiple punches to Kaz's jaw, then boots to the chest. Tag to Joe and Havoc. Havoc rushes Joe, snap power slam. Joe gives a series of right hands to Havoc's jaw. Laticia is in the back with Cage and Styles. Styles says that Cage said they'd be a unit, but Team Angle looks like a well oiled machine. AJ doesn't know what Cage has gotten him into. Tomko's not around, Abyss isn't on the team, and not only is he not on the team, they have to fight him and Sting, toooniight! The only reason AJ agreed to be on Cage's team was because of the title shot. Cage jumps from the couch and tells AJ that if he brings it up again, he'll take it back. They argue for a couple seconds of 'No you can't!' 'Yes I can!' Cage reminds AJ who he's talking to. By the end of the night the teams will be even ... he thinks.
Commercial, with a sneak peak to The Hills Have Eyes 2.
Tenay tells us that during the break, there was a very disturbing scene between Serotonin. The clip shows Martyr on the ground screaming. Kaz and Havoc chained to a wall and Raven giving a speech. He states that if they want to be weak they can scream like Martyr, but if they want to be like him, then they need to embrace torture and let it be their friend. He then pours candle wax on Martyr.
In the back JB is with Abyss and Sting. Sting says you can believe what you see, hell has indeed frozen over. He's been trying to point Abyss in the right direction. He no longer needs the cage. Tonight, there is only one obstacle between Abyss and total freedom. It'll be difficult, but he will overcome. He's never steered him wrong, everything has been done for his own good. Even his pain. Abyss almost took his eye out. Abyss needs to each out and take his future. As for Styles and Cage, their future is bleak. Tonight, it'll be time for their Last Rites.
Back in the ring, Team 3D has two foot lockers. Ray calls out LAX. Hernandez and Homicide come out. Ray says it's been a long three months, they've been beating the crap out of one another for a long time, and LAX has gotten the best of them. They'd do everything it took to protect their tag team titles. Even if that meant pissing them off like no other team ever has. Team 3D understands them, because they're just like them. They've broken women's necks, sent people threw flaming tables and even threw an eighty year old women off of a balcony. They're just as bad as LAX is ... homie. But Konnan tells them that they want Team 3D's legacy. You don't just get a legacy in this business, you earn it. Ray and DVon open up the foot lockers, showing the WWE titles, then the WCW, then the ECW. At Lockdown, Team 3D is all in. Their legacy vs. the tag titles. Team 3D offer their hands, and LAX's music hits, prompting Konnan. Konnan gets out of the wheelchair and comes to the ring. He wants to make one thing clear to butter bean and Crispy Creme. They don't shake hands. As far as he's concerned, they don't care about the belts, they don't mean anything. They're TNA tag champs, they don't need other belts from other organizations. Konnan announces that at Lockdown, the cage will be electrified. To Live and Die in ... Ray interrupts with 'LAX' and gives Konnan the finger. Viva La Raza, Puto. Fade to the back, Cornette is upset and crumples some paper.
Commercial.
In the back, Backlund is begging Cornette for a match at Lockdown. He gives Cornette a urine sample, he claims he's never eaten marijuana, and he's never snorted whatever it is that they snort. Cornette says he's been retired for years. Backlund says he's in great shape, and he's going to the moon! (To the moon, Alice!) Cornette tells him to come back from the moon. He can't wrestle, but he can ref the match between Senshi and Starr at Lockdown, but if he interferes in Starr's match tonight he can't be in it.
Eric comes down to the ring, trying to prepare for the pyro by covering his ears. He thinks he's gotten away from it, smiles and the pyro goes off, scaring him. Starr is met by Robert Roode in the tunnel before Starr comes down to the ring.
The match kicks off with Eric pointing at Starr, causing the crowd to boo. Point to the crowd, cheer. Back to Starr, boo. Back to the crowd, cheer. Starr cuts him off by sending him into the ropes. Left hands to Eric, sending him into the other turnbuckle a couple of times. Eric blocks the third, sending Starr into the turnbuckle, whiplash sending Eric into the opposite ropes. Starr charges with a drop-kick. Eric's positioned on the top rope, Starr behind him, shots to his head then jumps off, raking his nails down Eric's back. Roode and Ms. Brooks come down to the ring. Ms. Brooks jumps on Petey, he throws her off and kicks her necklace at her. Spinning heel kick on Roode by Petey. Petey and Eric go to shake hands, Roode pulls Eric out of the ring.
To the back, JB's with Jerry Lynn. Lynn states this is the first time ever, if he wants to bring the beer bottle to the match, he's going to take his beer, drink his beer, then bust it over his head. Something else on his mind is Christopher Daniels. If he has an issue, take it up with him as a man, not from behind. He doesn't know what his disappearing act was, or his new purpose, but ... Lynn is cut off by the lights going out and you can hear him 'What now?' You can hear a chair shot and the lights come back up. Daniels has laid out Lynn. Lynn takes out a leather strap and chokes Lynn until security shows up.
Commercial.
Cornette is with Chris Harris, telling him he "can make it happen." Chris says Storm almost blinded him for life. TNA is a company, they can't take a liability of Chris is blinded for good. Chris is blind, he can't wrestle. Until Chris brings a doctor's note telling him he's 100%, that's the best he can do. Chris says his best isn't good enough and walks out.
James Storm and Jackie make their way to the ring. Lynn's music hits, but never comes out. The refs make an announcement that Jerry Lynn is injured, the match won't happen. Storm takes the mic and says no, they're sick and tired of this. There are two things he loves to do. Drink beer and beat people up. He's all out of beer now, so send someone out, it doesn't matter what side they come out of. He is answered by Chris Harris. Gail Kim runs down to stop Harris. Jackie on the mic, calls Gail a no good slut and this is none of her business. Gail comes to the ring and takes down Jackie. Chris chases after Strom. Back in the ring, all four brawl. Storm gets away, Harris chases him back through the tunnel. Refs come in and break up Jackie and Gail
