We need to change the system of government in Canada. When I listen to a candidate and like what he says and he says he will stand upfor our/his constituency, I vote for him. We do not like to have promises given by candidates just to get elected. The party bribes the sitting member with assistant jobs and when it comes down to the crunch ,instead of representing his constituence he back pedals and votes the opposite of what we all elected him for.
So what can we do ? There is no process whereby we can remove him until the next election. We can kick him out only if he commits and is convicted of a criminal offence.
The only democratic wayto insure that the representing member is conforming to his election platform is to do away with the party system. Similar to a republic form of government.

I'd like to call on all Canadians to voice your thoughts, here and elsewhere What do you think??? eh?

I agree with you. Vote for the person who will represent you the best, but, bear in mind, the party platform. Your local candidate has to "tow the party line". If you disagree with federal platform, you may be in trouble. Your local candidate will have no choice but to vote along party lines....

I'd vote for Molson as King of Beers, and forget the politics.
