Use a razor and just run it along where all the little balls are. It wont ruin your wool it will skim the surface and cut off the balls. I do it all the time it works great.

I use a nail brush - or you can go to any dry cleaner and they have this black thing that smells like rotten eggs that they use specifically for those annoying balls.

I take a used razer and lightly shave them - then throw out the razor of course ;)
