That is the most untrue statement I have ever heard. I live in Japan and I can say that most Japanese women find foreign guys attractive and a lot of Japanese men like foreign women. Every foreign guy that comes to this country likes Japanese women and quite a few end up marrying them. Personally I find Japanese, Chinese and Indian women to be more attractive than British. Everyone is different.

This may be true some of the time but it is not always - there are lots of people who date outside their own nationality, race or culture.
My Scottish brother is married to an Indian woman (and no wonder, she is lovely and totally gorgeous)

No. Absolutely not. The reason that people tend to end up with someone like them is because, of course, they tend to meet more people from within their environment than outside. A Japanese villager is unlikely to marry a Saudi Arabian socialite, for example. When people start moving outside of their environment and start meeting other people, relationships develop because they have something other than their location in common. I am a Scot living in South East Asia and I know many, many people who have married outwith their country and/or race and are very happy.

I don't think that at all. I'm Scottish and I'm attracted to all kinds of different people, race doesn't play a part in the attraction for me.

That's not true at all. I'm very attracted to women OUTSIDE my race. It's my body telling me to go out and spread my seed to diverse and unrelated women, since it's scientifically established that inbreeding is harmful. Now I know that marrying within your race is not really inbreeding but the body views it that way.
Your theory is actually cultural, not racial. People of the same culture get along with each other and we have been taught that those who look like us most likely have a similar culture.
Centurion,
Your animal analogy doesn't work because races are NOT different species!

This is a really great question. I have often wondered the very same thing; especially being in the military for so many years you tend to see that most races "stick together." This has not been true of my life though. I have always liked Mexicans and I'm as white as they come. ;-) And I'm single.

I don't think that's true. Obviously if you're a Brit then you're more likely to end up with another Brit (law of probabilities) but in places where you have a good mixture of races and nationalities you often find mixed relationships (I have a Thai father and English mother).

Well, that's not entirely true, I've seen mixed marriages of all kinds. For your examples, it's probably because Scotland and Japan are a long ways away from each other. That's called an extremely long long distance relationship. LOL God bless.

Skin aint nothin but a membrane...........it's whats inside that counts..........real love is colorblind. Blind people see what those with sight cannot because they see with their heart therefore, race or nationality does not matter and we all should take a lesson from them. I think the time is way over-due for people to recognize that there is only one race...the human race ......with a vast, beautiful variety of skin tones.
