I dropped him once, but it was only from about a foot and a half... would that make a difference?

I dropped him once..only from a foot and a half. he moves around alot at night... but its only been his second day

If this hamster is new I would give it some time. He might be really scared at being in a new surrounding and the drop would push him over the edge.

Does your hamster normally move around much? If he doesn't normally then you're probably okay. If he normally moves around a lot he might just be tired - monitor whether he has been sleeping much. If it goes on like this for a couple of days though I would get it checked out.

If he is not eating or drinking at all then you need to take it to the vet.

Did his inactivity start immediately after you dropped him? If so, maybe you hurt him. However, I've dropped my hamsters from higher heights and that didn't harm them. This is not to say that dropping them won't ever hurt them. But watch him to see if he moves and if the movements look awkward or suspicious.

Check to see if he's eating as well. If he's not, them something is definitely wrong and you need to take him to a vet soon.

if he's eating well, then i guess he's just lazy. if he's not eating well, u should probably bring him to the vet.
