Why do WWE fans get so upset when anti-WWE or wrestling fans hate on wrestling?

I see a lot of anti-wrestling or anti-WWE people come and attack wrestling and then of course you get the WWE fans who basically get so mad about it? I am a wrestling fan and when I see someone who hates wrestling it doesn't bother me at all. What's the big deal if someone hates wrestling and calls it fake or something? There are people who probably hate a lot of sports and call it fake. It's not really an insult to you in less you're a wrestler. I see WWE and wrestling fans act like someone has insulted their sexuality like all the christians and anti-gay people do towards homosexuals. Yea, their sexuality is apart of who they are so I can understand someone whose gay getting upset if someone bashes them for being attracted to the same sex. But I don't really get why wrestling fans get so upset just because some anti-WWE person starts bashing wrestling and acts like someone just insulted their mama. I really think the wrestling fans need to chill out a little bit.

I can't speak for everyone here, but for me I started watching wrestling with my dad when I was a kid. It was the first time when I saw these larger than life good guys beating and overcoming low down dirty heels. No matter how badly some one cheated on Hulk Hogan, no matter what they used, no matter how big the opponent, even somebody as big as Andre The Giant, Hulk would find a way, even if he lost a smaller battle or two a long the way he would prevail in the end. He hulked up and body slammed the five hundred pounder down. That stuck with me over the years. Later on I would come to appreciate the athleticism involved, the story lines, the spectacle and the emotion of it. Still though, although I know its fake, something of that good triumphing over evil inspiration stuck with me.
I feel passionate about wrestling, it entertains me, it inspires me sometimes and I enjoy it. Yet despite all this, as a wrestling fan I have to constantly defend it to people telling me that's its fake, and stupid. I'd like to think that at least here, with other fans there would be some solace, but no, there's always some idiot like magicmarker, who has to come on here and put down wrestling to make him feel better about his own pathetic life. So, f.u.c.k him.

I don't get mad if people I know criticize wrestling or are not into it whatever,every ones entitled to their opinion!But this is a wrestling forum where we come to ask/answer questions about wrestling,and I just don't understand why people would come here and bash on us b/c we like this form of entertainment?!There's 100 other categories on here why come here to say moronic things,and be jackasses?!

i occasionaly watch wwe now. that was my in basic terms merchandising til i observed TNA and NJPW and ROH ive never seen NOAH yet i heard then wrestling is magnificent i additionally watch alot of independet promotions that i couldnt even call. yet back to the question .....No ppl who think of wwe's wrestling is the final interior the international they have never seen NJPW ROH or TNA bc the wrestling is one hundred circumstances greater advantageous. nicely permit me take that back bc saying each WWE fan is ...No only no there are a pair who only extremely appreciate the WWE (for some strange reason) and that i dont comprehend if UFC counts yet i admire UFC way better than any Wrestling merchandising

I really don't get what kind of a question this is. If people are going to get mad about something, they're going to get mad. That's just people for ya. Like if I told you that this is a dumb question. Maybe you'll get mad, maybe you'll get offended. Maybe not. Who cares if people get mad about things?All I know is that I don't get mad if someone hates wrestling or if they bash on it. I don't care if they like it or not. I do. That's all that matters to me. If they like it, good for them, if not, even better for them. If someone else does get mad from thing like that, that's their prerogative. I'm not gonna tell them "hey, don't get mad." They can get mad for a year if they fell that they must. Maybe they get mad because wrestling is something personal to them. Maybe they just have a short fuse. Maybe they're just faking their anger. Who can tell? And really, what's the difference?

because when you become such an obsessed fan with something, when someone insults it they feel like they too are being insulted because someone is talking trash about something they love and cherish so much. Me personally I could care less what people say cause they don't shape what I do or who I am. Unfortunitly you can't change people no matter how hard you try.

Iam also a wwe fan.People see movies by knowing that they are all fictional charaters.wwe is almost same as that of movies except that it has got only one take .wwe fans has got every right to be upset about anti wwe people because they deserve respedt beause they generate revenues

I don't get offended at those who dislike wresling except when they make generalizations (ie, wrestling fans are all losers). It doesn't bother me otherwise.

well still, if they hate wrestling they shouldnt even be on this section if they hate it so much. they dont need to tell us were fat losers because we like wrestling. so my main point is, if they dont like it, dont try to get involved with something you hate.

People like ToddMan and Son of Todd Man get mad because they were expecting HBK to wear the variety of pants that the Warrior did, so they can be homoerotic together.
