oy, it's time to put my liberal arts education to work.
You are asking what is the point of the universe. This depends on whom you ask.
For the universe to have a purpose and end goal (or "telos"), this supposes that there must be a divine intelligence that imparts a plan to existence. The traditional Christian narrative tells of the fall of man, the redemptive power of Jesus' passion, and the final movement toward an apocalypse in which good will finally triumph over evil.
A secular materialist will tell you that there is no such thing as a soul, divine plan or purpose, only atoms and the inalienable laws of physics and chemistry that guide them.
An existentialist will tell you that there is no meaning except the meaning you create for yourself. Life, in this scheme, is like a giant coloring book, and you have to choose the colors that go inside. You can ask other people how they color their coloring book, but in the end only you can decide what colors you finally use.
In other words, there is no right answer. Study up on the various philosophies out there and find one that accords with your upbringing, your conscience, your ethics and morals. Or create a philosophy for yourself.

Have you ever seen something beautifull but cannot touch yet?
Maybe in the distant future we could travel to a distant planet that can support human life!

Well I think that when it comes right down to it the point (concerning you and me at least) is to create joy.

It's not just about us. There are billions of civilizations out there, just by the odds.
And there is no point. It just is. We just live here. Sadly, we don't take good care of the place.
