Can clothes that are dry-clean only be salvaged/fixed after they have been accidentally washed? One is silk and the other is wool with silk lining.

Ooooh, probably not. There are both washable silks and washable wools, but if marked DCO, then you'd better DCO.
If they still fit you and haven't shrunk out of shape, you can take them to the DC's and have them use DC chemicals on them and shape them. If they are out of shape, pitch them.

This is your best shot at salvaging them. Call you all your local dry cleaner. Ask if they do wet cleaning more so ask if they specialize in it and if they have the new tentioning equipment. If so tell them what you did. These new machines are designed to work with professional wet cleaning the important word is professional. They may be able to reshape the items. As for those who say DRYEL is a cleaner. LOL That like saying the local boy who cuts your lawn is a landscaper. DRYEL is a freshener. Good luck

I saw this actually happen often, and people think getting dryel will fix the problem. Dry cleaners spend 75G's for a machine that dryel can do? doenst make sense. I am sorry but your garments are done for. I guarantee you this, if your silk is from china you have uneven color loss, your wool with lining, your dry cleaner wouldnt know how to tackle the lining unless he knows about wet cleaning. Wool might be salvageable if you didnt use hot water, didnt submerse it completely in water, any questions, contact me.

if you have not dryed them yet, use air dry cycle on your machine and they sell a product for dry clean only clothing at you local store that you can use.

Usually not. I did this with a silk blouse. I took it to two different dry cleaners and they couldn't or wouldn't even try to do anything with it.

The silk may be salvageable if you take it to the cleaners.
The wool has less hope.
Both have a chance if you did not dry them in the dryer.
Take them to your trusted dry cleaner and see if she can fix the damage.
Hopefully she can...I've done worse damage.

take it to a dry cleaner/ seamstress place. they'll let you know if they can fix it
