Physically it's impossible, but physically, so is our own universe. We don't understand how we can have a universe that is obviously finite with a clear point where not even space exists. So there are a lot of things physically that we have no clue about, and with that in mind, there are a lot of things that could easily exist within the laws of physics, such as heaven, if we really knew what those laws were... we only guess right now.

Science rocks, but you can't disprove the possibility of heaven. If energy is never destroyed, something must happen when we die. You can say that it all gets eaten by the worms and we end up as manure for trees and that's how we go on, and maybe you'll be right, but what if just a tiny infintessimally small bit of us escapes to a place called heaven?

I dunno and don't spend much time thinking about it - what is, is. But that's my take on it.

[to JORDAN]: The existence of God is independent of the existence of Heaven. One can believe that God created Earth and life on it, as well as the cosmos, but it doesn't follow through logic that there must, therefore, be a Heaven - that leap of faith is a, um, leap in faith.

[to BROOKS]: By your logic, it would be impossible for any scientist to also be religious or spiritual. Many scientists are indeed very religious (yes, *credible* scientists in the mainstream, e.g. Carl Sagan, most prominently).

Simply put - no, according to scientific theory/law it is impossible for heaven to exist. Why? Because there is no such thing as a soul. Our consciousness is created with and dies with our brain -- without a functioning brain (eg, when you die) you no longer exist. It is not scientifically possible for your consciousness to migrate to another dimension when you die. Your brain dies - and you die with it.

In order to accept the idea of heaven you must have religious faith, there is no real science behind these ideas.

This isn't meant as a jab at religion - I'm just pointing out that faith has no place in science.

It's possible for Heaven to really exist because God makes it so. This question has everything to do with religion. If you believe that Heaven exists you must also believe God exists, and if God exists God created every single theory and law in physics. God makes Heaven exist.

All this relies upon on your definition of heaven, hell, and god. If there are different dimensions and you identify to define those as heaven and hell, then i think they do exist. It seems such as you're watching for what the subsequent vast discoveries in physics would be and attempt to wiggle your alternatives for concept in god, etc., into the photograph. If there are different dimensions, why do no longer you only call them what they're - different dimensions. if your definition of god is the entire universe, why do no longer you only call it what it incredibly is - the entire universe.

every bit as possible as Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. It's an imaginary fantasy. It's quite clear why and how such a fantasy developed. i.e. the motive is there.

Heaven exists like god exists. In the hearts and minds of men who wish to believe in it.

I'm a Catholic, so I say yes, but my question is, is heaven like one place that's simply peace, or a version of a dreamland depending on whoever goes there. Almost like the opposite of a "living" Hell.

Of course... It's absurd to limit your thinking to the scientific method. There are realms of knowledge that cannot be quantified and categorized.

I suggest you read "Guide for the Perplexed" by E. F. Shumaker. for some logical foundation.

Also, physics seems to be merging with the spiritual world more than the material one, especially when we talk about 12 dimensions and time travel.

The concept of heaven was created by religion therefore your question is already flawed.
