Portland...New York...Denver..hell! even Boston.(they did'nt even do that for MJ..in Boston )..there's just as many Kobe jersey's as Home jersey's...(Boston?)..I thought Kobe was "BAD"..lol

Kobe reminds me of Muhammad Ali in boxing, early in his career people either hated him or loved him. But the one thing I can say for Ali is that he was and is the greatest of all times. Love or hate Kobe, he is an exceptional talent, he frustrates you on one hand and and amazes you on another.....kind of like one of those movies your not sure if it's the best of all time or just another good movie....?????

He is the best basketball player in the NBA right now... skills, killer instinct, competiveness. He makes the game look so easy. He's so graceful on the floor. That's just one factor.
The real reason is that he has the look and charisma. Listen to the guy talk. His comments are always insightful, not the boring cliche you hear from most other players. The guy has a good attitude. Whether the Lakers loses or wins, he always has something positive to say (especially true this year). He is different from the gangsta rap look that plagues the NBA. He would have been even more popular if he didn't have the tattoos. He was without it for a long time, so I was shock when got them.

Kobe is the best in the league, that's why. They are cheering him on because he is an entertainer and he can play. Kobe is now a presence to every city he visits. I think when the Lakers reach the FInals, their opponents home city would be cheering for Kobe. JdJw767, just so you know, Kobe scored 50...

A lot of younger people cheer for Kobe because he was the closet thing to MJ before you got Lebron, D-Wade, and Carmelo Anthony. So he was basically the MJ of their era.

Omg for the guy above, Kobe has to ballhog. Since he scored those points, the Lakers have been winning. When he wasn't ballhogging, they lost a lot.
