The terrible Disney prejudice against mothers just part of their campaign to break down the family and let children rule, as evidenced by their predilection for gays and the even more overwhelming absence of any kind of father figure. How are people supposed to believe in a loving, good and kind Heavenly Father, if the only kind of earthly father figures they see are incompetent and the butt of jokes?

But, what else can you expect from a company whose founder beat an owl to death when he was a boy…? What else can you expect from a company that exploits the images of animals in animated films, making billions—yes, BILLIONS of dollars-- on the use of their images-- without ANY compensation AT ALL?

Interestingly enough, you've completely cited pre-existing stories. None of those characters have moms (or they die) in the original stories that are told.

However, in movies created by Disney, there will be mothers and/or fathers. The Lion King? A Bug's Life? Dumbo?

Disney doesn't hate mothers. Yes, step-mothers are always arch-enemies, but not mothers.
The reason the birth mothers are killed off is that there would be a lot less dramatic interest in the main characters' lives is their mothers were there to guide them and take care of them.
People's lives are a struggle without a strong mom, and films about struggle are more interesting than films about happy family relations.

Most of the Stories that you mention come from other sorces such as fairy tales and Disney did not write the base story just went with the base story and added a few more details.

Hmmmmm good observations . . . . . maybe Disney is anti-women? Or anti-old women?

My boyfriend says that the mom in Toy Story is a part of the movie, but we both agree that it's different because that's Pixar, and they rule.

This whole thing about Disney hating mothers is BS in my humble opinion. They should try killing off dads more often for a change.

I actually wrote a research paper about this subject...turns out that Walt Disney played a part in his mom's death. He bought her a house and she complained about a gas smell for months, but he kept ignoring her off. Unfortunately, she died of asphyxiation...the dead mom theme showed up in all of his subsequent movies except Sleeping Beauty.

It's part of the tragedy. The Lion King's mom was alive, but his dad died.
