Not at all. At least from my experience the royal family is so depersonalized that they are viewed by most as an institution and not as superiors. They are simply a part of our culture and our history. And while I know this is a hard concept to grasp especially when you see all the tabloid and news coverage of the Royals I think if you ask the average Briton they would have a fair amount of respect for the institution of the monarchy and not necessarily the individuals. This is not to say that individuals like QEII and Wills aren't loved and adored by many(my mom has a plate with Lizzy's portrait on it ugh) they still serve mainly as the embodiment of an institution of our culture and history and not as individualized superiors. I hope this helps and I know how confusing this topic is. I've lived in the States now for over 10 years and I've answered this question quite frequently. Cheers.

Not at all, underneath the image given to them by the press they are the same as the rest of us. Birth, illness, marriage, divorce, death - human beings from start to finish. I guess if you believe the monarch is ordained by God, you'd need to be a Christian to begin with anyway.
People knock the wealth they have but if your family was in the same business for 1000 years wouldn't you have stacks of cash also. You have to respect them for living in a goldfish bowl also. They can't go to the shops for a newspaper, walk in the park or go for a swim without being chased by the press. They are not free and still devote their lives to any good cause which crosses their paths.

I wouldn't think so...I believe the Royal family is a representation of it's people not the cream of the crop. Social classes exist in ALL countries on some level...it's something people do to themselves...I don't think I have heard the Royal's running around saying they are Better than their people...Just have to be held to a higher standard since they represent the people...
But they are still just people....the pressures and lack of privacy they endure cost them more than the wealth and position they enjoy....

Do people who support the president feel they are inferior to politicians?
Do you feel inferior to celebrity dynasty's?
It's really a position of celebrity.

There can be no other reason or why else do they think that only the members of one family can be the Head of State. This doesn't say much for their ambition for their own children
