Used to lay on the hood of my Firebird out at the end of the runway and feel the vibrations, oooh. Sigh.

It's a tie between The Who concert at Jack Murphy Stadium in 1982 when Pete played the really bright, loud guitar part for "Cry If You Want" (we were right next to a speaker in front) and the eight inch Howitzers being fired in my gun battery in the army ('84-'86). I am half deaf as a result of these events.

1998 Tennessee vs Arkansas Game, Neyland Stadium. When the Ark QB fumbled. Imagine 110,000 people screaming at the top of their lungs at the same time is was deafening and Ive heard missiles go off over my head that were not as loud.

I live near an Air Force base and the jets will occasionally break the sound barrier.It sounds like a loud boom.

Some teen girls thought it would be funny to throw cherry bombs at the feet of people returning to their cars after a Tiger game. One exploded at my feet and now I've lost measureable hearing in my right ear. One day, I'll have to wear a hearing aid.

When I was 10-12 years old, our next door neighbor snored really loud, it would wake us up in the middle of the night! Those were not pleasant times!

A guy with a really messed up motorbike. I noticed the noise for about 2 minutes before it passed. When it did pass me, I pretty much fell on the sidewalk quivering...Yeah, it was THAT bad. Stupid bikers...

Brisbane always have them to kick start the fireworks off
