Clean your washing machine with1 Gallon of white vinegar pour it in as if you were doing a wash, and let it run the full cycle with hot water. This is recommended once every six months or at leaset once a year.

This is an easy remedy for your problem, no hands needed, you just pour in one cup of White Vinegar and put your washing machine through a cycle, but you must use hot water in that cycle. Thats it! your machine will be clean and free of all residue once the cycle is done. You can do this once or twice a week to keep your machine clean and free of residues, it will also protect the tub and clean out the pipes and hoses and help ;your machine wash better. Good Luck !

doesn't sound like fabric softener......sounds to me like your dealing with some sort of thick grease.or where there is wear and tear going on .. ...Try degreaser automotive strength you can get it in most stores, in the automotive dept. wear plastic gloves and don't get a big breath of it if possible, use a old toothbrush . and scrub till gone you will need to wash your washer really good after using this stuff just run a full cycle..that should do it ......

I would try vinegar and baking soda. It will foam and bubble up immediately and should bubble that icky gunk right out. You might have to do it a few times. It's all natural and cheap.

I also might suggest hydrogen peroxide....not knowing what that icky stuff is...that will kill any bacteria there and it also bubbles up and should loosen it so you can dig it out.

I wish you well.
Good luck!

scrape it off... I get that on the water softener insert in my washer... but I take it out and run it thru the dishwasher a couple times on the pots/pans cycle. if you can remove yours, I'd suggest the same. Otherwise, get a long skinny brush (like for lint traps) and scrub it out of there.
