Find the least commom denominator
LCD is 20
4 7/10 + 2 3/4=
4 14/20+ 2 15/20=
6 29/20
then you divide 29/20 because it's a improper fraction
divide 29 / 20 and you add 1 to 4+2 the answer is 7 9/20

The answer would be 6 29/20. Or 7 9/20 if you simplify it. You can change the given numbers in improper fraction first, which is 47/10 + 11/4. The least common denomitor is 20. 47/10 can be multiplied by 2, and 11/4 can be multiplied by 5. It will then be 94/20 + 55/20. Now both have the same denominator. We add both numbers (the numerators) and we'll get 149/20. This is the final answer as an improper fraction. You can change this into a mixed fraction by dividing 149 by 20. We'll get 7 as the answer, with the remainder 9. 7 will be the whole number to your mixed fraction. The remainder, which is 9, will be the numerator to the fraction while 20 is the denominator. And thus, the answer is 7 9/20. The answer for getting 6 29/20 has a different method. Simplifying it will also give us the same final answer (7 9/20). You can also try doing it with a scientific calculator. But exercising your mind is better, right? :-P

its an improper fration so if you solve them you will get 47/10 + 15/4
and then u will take LCM ie Lowest Common Multiple ie 20
so now the equation will become 94/20 + 75/20
which equals 169/20
