I am suppose to keep 10% and send them the rest. But it is a real check but how do I know if it's real? What happens if I go to the bank and cash it and its not legit? How long will it take for me to find out?

Now ask yourself why a legitimate company would need you to cash their checks?

At the premium you are charging they could hire an attorney to do it (for whatever semi-valid reason you might find convincing).

This is a scam that's been around for a while. I saw a news feature on television about this. You cash the check and you get arrested with cashing fake checks.

Yeah, it's all on you.

Discovery Channel once high light it in a special about top criminal acts.

Report them to the FBI. Or even better, get an FBI agent to go to the bank with you.

Keep as far away as you can from this kind of scams. IRS will be on your back too!

This is a scam that has been around for years.

If it is an email, ignore it and delete it. Do not respond in any way.

If it came in regular mail, call the police so they can take it as evidence.
