I would definitely date the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four. He is obviously the most powerful of all of them, yet he has a fresh, optimistic, still youthful vibe about him. The only other young super-hero that comes to mind is Spider Man, but he has too much baggage with the whole "with great power comes great responsibility" thing.
