I started taking my birth control two weeks before my period is supposed to start and now I'm 2 weeks late
I started taking a new birth control, Low Ogestrel. Has anyone taking this before? I just took it out of the blue without waiting for "the first Sunday of my period". I was suppose to start my period on the 7th, and now it's the 22nd!!! I'm wondering if I will ever get it? If so...when? I already went through a whole pack (I took several in a 24 hr period as a supplement to the "72 hour" pill) and now I'm starting my second one. Did I mess something up "down there"??? When will I start my period again?

It is probably because of the hormone change, and for the fact that you didnt wait until your sunday start. You will get it. You just have to wait. Next time take it when you are supppose to.......geeze that just reminds me....LOL

you should always start birth control on the sunday after your period. it could be that your system is messed up because you are taking your pills wrong. however, after 1 to 2 months it should become regualar again. been there done that and only take 1 pill a day.

the reason why you are supposed to wait for your period is that the pill now takes over regulating your cycle. (had you waited, you would not have noticed a disruption in your regular cycle) there should be one pack of different colored pills in your pack... these are sugar pills and cause you to have your period during the week that you are taking them. With this pill now regulating your cycle, from now on you should not expect to see your period until you are taking the sugar pills.

Oh and the 72-hour pill rationalization... that was just stupid. I try not to judge people's actions because we're all capable of making mistakes but you have to realize that these pills are altering your bodily functions. You can't just play around with them as you feel. And a birth control pill does not equate to the 72-hour pill. Birth control pills do not cause you to lose a pregnancy... period. And the Morning After pill doesn't even require a prescription anymore, you can order it over the counter from any pharmacy in all 50 states. You have no excuse. Your behavior has been really immature and irresponsible and if your future health is important to you... you should take this more seriously.

you aren't supposed to double up on the pills one a day is all you're supposed to take. Also not waiting for your period bfore you started probably has messed you period up. I would ask your doctor about if you should stop taking it and start on next period

Oh my!
Yes. It does sound like you have messed your system up. In addition to suppose to start taking it the Sunday after you start your period, if you miss one, you are only allowed to take up to 2 not "several". You should call your doctor and tell them what you have done, just to be on the safe side. I am not sure there is much you can do now that you have done it, but you should alert them and let them guide you in what you should do next.

I wish you well.

the pill makes your body believe your pregnant.

So its possible that your brain believes you are, thus the late menus.
