Wow! I can really tell you are the sensitive type. I hope your little sister is more compassionate than you. You are not funny, hamsters feel pain.
People that make fun of suffering and dying are sick people.
I had a hamster for 4 years and I had to have it euthanized by a vet because of a tumor in it's eye.
I didn't let him suffer, but he was in pain before I got him to the vet. He cried and wimpered at night in pain.
I hope you don't plan on ever having any children because you would make a sorry mother.

Having it next to a heater will make him worse because it will dehydrate him if not drinking any water, move it away and cover the top with a towel instead. It sounds like the hamster is dying. How old is the hamster, Syrians only live 2 1/2 -3 years and dwarfs only live 1 1/2 - 2 years. You can call the vet for any suggestions however. Has it been eating or drinking any? If not drinking, take him in your hand and see if he will drink any water from the water bottle or a dropper. You can wrap him in a wash cloth while holding to keep warmer. Another sign of dying is wobbly walking, like he's dizzy. If he makes it through the night and seem the same or worse take to vet first thing in the morning.
What kind of litter are you using, if it's cedar, pine or aspen this is bad for their resparitory system and will cause problems breathing. Paper litter like Critter Care, Care Fresh, and Yesterdays News are recommended for better health.

Its getting ready to die...sorry..I have had many many hamsters and that is very common signs before death. The heater isn't gonna help. Not much you can do for it either. Just let it be in its cage
