I noticed recently that I have small blackish ants entering my upstairs bedroom window... They are staying near the window area. My mom seems to think they are coming in because its getting warm outside. I am looking to have an exterminator come and evaluate the situation, how much would that cost usually?

I have one come every year at around this time, and it costs me $75 for the entire house---it is also guaranteed for 1 year. Of course, it matters on where you live and how many exterminators are in your area.

The cost of getting rid of ants depends on the size of the infestation and the experience of the exterminator. But you looking at $100 to 400 in washington.

We had a ant problem in my daughters bedroom and you know what is the cheepest remedy? Vineger, ants hate the stuff. diliute half water half vineger put in a spray bottle and spray the whole room, spray outside if you want too, to get rid of the little buggers. It smells until it is dry but the ants will be gone for a while. You may have to spray a couple of times but it works. I tried it and it is also non toxic especially when you have small children around.

Do you have a large tree close to your house? If so they might be coming from the tree. If not, Did your home have a roof leak? Pest control can come out and look at it for free. But then they want to pressure you to sign a contract for a year.

ur best bet is to call the exterminator... im sure they can give you a free estimate or quote over the phone... :)

Before you go and spend all that $$$$ try some strong mint tea,with some borax added.and spray or mist the little boogers ...sometimes you can get them to go away with mint soap and water...A fairly strong solution I hate to see you use poisen in your bedroom....There are other effective organic ways of treating this problem .So what is a few ants anyways
